With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Opal Louise Bell McAbee (Tuscaloosa, Alabama), born in Mentone, Alabama, who passed away on August 7, 2019 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Gene McAbee, Sr.; her parents, Cora Lee and Oscar Bell; and her siblings, Dorthey Strickland, Delilah Coots, Audrey Ellis, Charles "Peanut" Bell and Joseph Oscar.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Lynn McAbee Boyd of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Michael Eugene McAbee of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Harold Gene McAbee, II (Sonya) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; her siblings, Rosetta Yates of Valley Head, Ala., Evelyn Tomlin of Valley Head, Ala., Ruth Battles of Valley Head, Ala., Junior Bell of Mentone, Ala. and Joseph "Buddy" Bell; her grandsons, William H. "Billy" Boyd, III of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Jonathan McAbee Boyd of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and James Cory McAbee of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and her sister Cora Lee Bell.
