He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Edgar Jones and Hester Montgomery Jones; and his siblings, James Cecil, Eddie Mae "Jack", Louise "Weezie", Bessie, Edgar Leon "Diddle" and Betty Sue.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Smelley Jones; his children, Patricia Pritchett (Linn), Lanier Jones (Tammy) and Stephen Jones (Jamie); his grandchildren, Tyler Pritchett (Lauren), Anna Carrol Arnold (Chase), Laura-Katherine Smith (Caris), Alex Wiggins (Joseph), Olivia Jones and Addison Jones; and his great grandchildren, Palmer, Wright, Nolan, Asher, Casen and James.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Memorial gifts be made to Gilgal Baptist Church.
