It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Hayden Hood of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who passed away on February 15, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Therman Hayden Hood and Lois Winters Hood; his grandparents, William Early Hood, Bessie Pate Hood, Lewis Thompson Winters and Evie Richardson Winters; his parents-in-law, Edward Cullen Hamner and Notie Evelyn Hamner; and his siblings-in-law, David Benny Lawson and Frances Mitchell Hamner.

He is survived by : his wife Cheryl Hamner Hood (Cherry); his daughters, Terri Denise Hood of Alpharetta, GA and Traci Hood Price (Dave) of Gulf Breeze, FL; his grandchildren, Hayden Van Essary and Raven Simone Price; his sisters, Dorothy Hood Pool (Donnie) of Tuscaloosa, AL and Marchelle Hood Hanley (Jeff) of Evansville, TN; and his brother-in-law Gary Edward Hamner of Tuscaloosa, AL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
