She was predeceased by: her husband George H. Frye Sr.; her children, Jeffrey S. Garrison, James Frye and Edith Garrison Casey; her son-in-law David Shuttlesworth; her brother-in-law Wallace Elliott; and her parents, Herman L. Gooden and Annie B. Gooden.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy G. Shuttlesworth, Angela G. Barksdale, Timothy M. Frye (Vicki), Kenneth W. Frye (Marie) and George Frye Jr. (Kaye); her siblings, Carolyn Elliott and Kenneth Gooden; and her grandchildren, Brian Shuttlesworth (Jaena), Jeremy Garrison (Michelle), Lori Kimbrow (Calvin), Ty Gunter (Shenna), Lacie Gunter, Kacey Davidson (Wesley), Chad Frye (Jennifer), Capri Day (Derek), Michael Smith (Sheila), Caitlyn Pender (Jacob), Lance Smith (Jessica), Matthew Smith (Kayla), Preston "Bailey" Ryan, Kenneth D. "Bubba" Frye (Laura), Leigh Falzone (Tom), Rebecca Frye and Amanda Frye. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel (5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Park (5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404).
