It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Davis (Tuscaloosa, Alabama), who passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Shirley Jean leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Shirley Jean may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her husband John B. Davis; and her great grandchild Adisyn A. Wilson. She is survived by: her sister Gwen Franklin of Decatur, AL; her children, Kim Petty (Robert) of Cottondale, AL and Big John Allen Davis of Cottondale, AL; and her grandchildren, Robby Petty (Julie), Hope Dodson (Bob) and Katelyn Petty.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM and on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel (5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Park (5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404).
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Children's Hospital of Birmingham or Hospice of West Alabama.
