He was predeceased by: his parents, Odis Whitfield and Virginia Whitfield (Smith); his siblings, Jimmy Whitfield, Randy Whitfield, Veronica Whitfield and Tammy Benstine; and his stepchildren, Tony Stone and Jackie Pickens.
He is survived by: his wife Penny Whitfield; his daughter Misty (John Sydorick); his granddaughter Faith Sydorick; his stepson Andy (Susan Stone); his grandchildren, Dakota, Breanna and Jada; and his siblings, Scottie Whitfield, Johnny Whitfield and Pam Moreno (Dan). He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Spry Memorial Chapel/ Funeral Home (907 Jackson Ave S, Russellville, AL 35653-2625). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Mars Hill Cemetery.
