George Wood Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Wood Sr. of Tyler, Alabama, who passed away on August 23, 2020 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sis Wood; his children, George Wood (Louise), Lene Howell, Mike Wood, Sharon Hughes (Bruce), Ann Neely (Jim) and Tim Wood (Susan); his nephew Fred Eanes; his parents, Frank Wood and Alberta Wood; his wife Lula Wood; and his brother Thad Wood. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations and memorials can be made to Benton Methodist Church, Benton Baptist Church, Good Hope Presbyterian Church, or John T. Morgan Academy PTA.
