He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Odessas Bullins, Jack Smith, Mattie Lou Laney and William Robert Laney. He is survived by : his mother Martha Laney Smith; his children, Hunter Smith (Jennifer), Heather Waites (Alex) and Hope Smith; his grandchildren, Lily Waites, Peyton Smith and Jackson Smith; his father Leon Smith; his siblings, Johnny Smith (Janet) and Jennifer Jones (Doug); and his parents-in-law, Doug and Linda Ferguson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
