He was predeceased by : his parents, Reuben P. Pickens, Sr. and Ruth Rogers Pickens; his wife Betty Cook Pickens; his siblings, Bill Pickens, Louie Pickens and Joyce Pickens; and his nephew Roger Pickens.
He is survived by : his daughter Sherri P. Smith (Dan); his grandson Matthew Smith (Kaylie); and his great grandchildren, Justice Smith, Stormy Smith and Silas Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
