She was predeceased by : her parents, Isaac Niles Lyon and Inez Yagle Lyon; her husband G. Walton Rives, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Avonlea Stewart and Lily Stewart; her son-in-law Lee Moody; and her sisters, Ida L. Traylor, Elizabeth L. Pickens, Edwina L. Cannon and Bertha L. Thomas.

She is survived by : her daughters, Carol Dease (Doug), Connie Stewart (Glynn) and Rosemary Moody Wigington (Jody); her sister-in-law Dorothy Rives; and her grandchildren, Shelley Dease, Jennie Tindell (Travis), Drew Dease (Julie), Craig A. Stewart (Paige), Mandy Dennis (James), Laurie Carey (Brian), Brian Moody (Holly) and Tricia Moody. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
