It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettye Ross Lovell (Vernon, Alabama), who passed away on July 29, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Vernon Lovell; her son Mickey Vernon Lovell; her parents, Roy Sylvester and Lella Sylvester; her daughter-in-law Wanda Lovell; her siblings, Juanita Dormany, Jewell Surrency, Roy B. Sylvester, Kenneth Sylvester, Opal Sylvester and Jerry Sylvester; and her parents-in-law, Malchom and Belle Lovell.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Lovell of Rogersville, Ronald Lovell of Rogersville and Faye Griffin (Bryant) of Rogersville; her grandchildren, Malcolm Todd Lovell (Shellie) of Decatur, Stephen Lovell (Amber) of Tuscaloosa and Shaley Lovell of Florence; her great grandchildren, Bella Grace Lovell, Bryson Ross Lovell and Blair Elaine Lovell of Decatur; her stepgrandchildren, Jody Griffin (Toni) of Athens, Jerry Griffin of Lexington, Rachel, Andrew Griffin of Lexington, Lucas, Jamie and Layla Griffin of Athens; her close friend Kellie Tate (Jacob); and her son Layne.
In lieu of flowers, Bettye Ross' request was to make a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
