It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Mays of Vernon, Alabama, who passed away on January 26, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Cordell Mays and Janice Harris; and his great grandchildren, LibbyAnn Barham and Langston Barham. He is survived by : his wife Liz Mays of Vernon, AL; his daughters, Tina Mays Wright (Kevin) of Vernon, AL and Amy Mays Ballard of Saltillo, MS.; his siblings, Danny Ray Mays (Sharon) of Bankston, AL, Betty Hughes of Beaverton, AL and Delinda Taylor (Joe) of Guin, AL.; and his grandchildren, Lauren Barham (Ryan), Mason Ballard and Marley Ballard.
