She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bankhead Jernigan and Corene Brewer Jernigan; her husband Charlie Marion Mordecai; and her sons, John Paul Mordecai and Russell Scott Mordecai.
She is survived by: her daughters, Becky Mordecai Robertson (Tony) of Millport, AL and Marion Mordecai Wright (Eddie) of Millport, AL; her sister Sarah Jernigan Brummett of Caledonia, MS; her grandchildren, Hope Robertson Maloney (Matt), Kyle Robertson, Chris Mordecai and Angie Mortecai; and her nieces, Kay Brummett Lee, Denise Brummett Stafford and Ruth Ann Brummett Faris. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
