He is survived by: his wife Judy Langley Merchant of Vernon, AL; his children, Rick Merchant of Riverton, IL, Ray Merchant, Jr. (Ami) of Springfield, IL, Ron Demato (Lisa) and Brandy Arias (Jason) of Columbiana, AL; his stepson Neal Atkins of Cozumel, MX; and his sister Sue Morris of Guin, AL. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
