Sara Elizabeth McKinney Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara Elizabeth McKinney of Vernon, Alabama, born in Corinth, Mississippi, who passed away on June 25, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert McKinney Coleman Sr. and Maxine Jane Brewster Coleman; her husband Coach Kenneth McKinney; her children, Kenny McKinney and Kathy McKinney; her grandson Wesley Wiygul; and her brothers, Bert McKinney Coleman, Jr. and Edwin Brewster Coleman.
She is survived by: her children, Scott McKinney (Stacey) of Jackson, MS, Beth Herring (Tommy) of Rainbow City, AL, Sallly Wiygul (Tim) of Tupelo, MS and David McKinney (Michelle) of Winfield, AL. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Vernon First United Methodist Church.
