He was predeceased by: his daughter Lanita D. Mayers; his grandson-in-law Doug Jackson; his siblings, John A Duke, Joe Van Duke (Wincie) and Fannie Dean Robinson (Cotton); and his brother-in-law Hoyt DuBose.
He is survived by: his children, Dette Lee (Curtis) and Jared Duke; his son-in-law Richard McMillan Mayers, Sr.; his grandchildren, Amberley Machelle Jackson, Laura-Ashley Eagan (Brian) and Richard McMillan Mayers, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Lanita-Kathryn Eagan, Vivienne-Jane Eagan and Theodore Mayers Jackson; his siblings, Jack Duke (Kaye), Nellie Carol DuBose and Patricia Ann Duke (Jerry); and his sister-in-law Sarah Jo Duke. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
