She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Dennis Childress and Retha Kennedy Keith; and her siblings, Wayne Childress, Leslie Childress, Charles Nelson Childress, Maxine Hill, Wilma Fields and Wanda Frederick.

She is survived by : her children, James (Brandie Fields), Christopher (Rebecca Fields), Brian Fields and Melissa; her grandchildren, Jaydlan, Easton Fields, Samuel, Wyatt Fields, Kaley, Noah and Gunner Barger; and her sister Lois.
