He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stabler and Cornelia Stabler; his former wife Annie Ruby Stabler; his son Paul DeRouen; his grandchildren, Anthony DeRouen and Emily Brown; his siblings, George Stabler and Pearl Kelly; and his sons-in-law, Fred Thompson and David Stacey.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Ann Stabler of Franklin, AL; his children, W. C. Stabler (Velma) of Mobile, AL, James Stabler (Darlene) of Frisco City, AL, Rev. Johnny Stabler (Linda) of Poarch, AL, Carol Cole (David) of Excel, AL, Sarah Stacey of Monroeville, AL, Blanche Thompson of Sulligent, AL and Rosemary White (Randy) of Eufaula, AL; his daughter-in-law Ann DeRouen of Franklin; his stepchildren, Jimmy Sadler (Kathy) of Darlington, AL, Jack Sadler (Cathy) of Darlington, AL and Betty Clark of Mobile, AL; and his sister Frances Turberville of Finchburg, AL. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; fifty-seven great grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren; and five nieces and three nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
