It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlie Lee Benson Jr. (Wetumpka, Alabama), born in Deatsville, Alabama, who passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Charlie may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Charlie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Lee Benson Sr. and Jessie Lee Smoke Benson. He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Benson.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Liberty Mortuary (205 Lancaster St, Wetumpka, AL 36092).
