He is survived by: his wife Janice Chancey; and his children, Joyce McCauley, Charles Bone and Selena Gordon. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and numerous good friends.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gassett Funeral Home Chapel (204 E Charles Ave, Wetumpka, AL 36092). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Pleasant Ridge Community Church Cemetery.
