He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Robinson, Sr. and Viola Schlapia Robinson; and his sisters, Jackie and Gloria. He is survived by: his wife Lena Robinson; his sons, Jimmy, David and Terry; and his grandchildren, Jamie and Jaret. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
