She was predeceased by: her former husband Virgil Odell Hillis; her husband Laudrey Satterfield; her parents, Buford Key and Ella Key; her grandsons, Buford Wade Hillis Jr. and Benjamin Hillis; and her sisters, Davonia Clark and Francis Clark.
She is survived by: her sons, Mike O. Hillis (Linda), Benny W. Hillis (Dena), Buford W. Hillis (Charlotte) and Gary R. Hillis (Peggy); her stepson Jeff Satterfield (Lisa); and her grandchildren, Beatrice Hillis, Ashley Hillis, Adam Hillis and Randall Hillis. She is also survived by several great-granchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hazel Green Funeral Home (13921 US-231 #8651, Hazel Green, AL 35750). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
