He was predeceased by : his parents, Joel Carlee and Elizabeth Key Gordy; his wife Clover Windham Gordy; his daughter Vicki Lynn Gordy; and his siblings, Lewis, Tootsie, Buddy, Paul, Jack Gordy and Virginia Beard.

He is survived by : his children, Debbie Lang (Stephen) of Marion and Keith Douglas Gordy (Kim) of York; and his grandchildren, Kyle Gordy of Tuscaloosa and Chloe Gordy of York.
