She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Wiley and Veta Ivey Johnson; her husband John Kelley Brookins, Sr.; and her grandsons, Trae Brookins and Andy Brookins.
She is survived by: her children, John Brookins, Jr. (Gayle) of Tifton, Al Brookins of Ivey, Michael Shane Brookins (Jamie) of Charleston, SC and Glenda Chandler (Herbert) of Milledgeville; her grandchildren, Clay Brookins (Jennifer), Al Brookins, Jr., Kelli Anne Chandler and Carolina Brookins; and her great grandchildren, Evie Brookins and Briana Brookins.
