He was predeceased by: his parents, John Riley Wells and Dortha Lee Wells (Kelley); his former wife Nina Jackson Wells; and his grandson Jarrad Scott Wells. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Wells (Harvey); his children, Steve Wells (Karen Hutson Wells) of Batesville and Gina Wells Davis (James Davis) of Batesville; his stepdaughter Karen Kimble Melton (Nickey Melton); his grandsons, Dr. James Davis (Jill Waldrip Davis) of Little Rock, Dr. Mark Davis (Bobbi Tosh Davis) of Batesville, Josh Wells (Laura Higginbottom Wells) of Cave City and Jonathan Wells (Megan Dossey Wells) of Little Rock; his stepgrandson Cory Melton; and his great grandchildren, Caroline Davis, James Davis, Charlotte Davis, Nina Davis, Carter Sutterfield, Chloe Sutterfield, Cora Wells, Lydia Wells, Hutson Wells and Claire Wells.
