She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward A. Powers, Sr. and Margaret Barnes Repass; her siblings, Edward A. Powers, Jr. and Mary Augusta Powers; and her daughter Dorothy A. Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Debra A. Castillo (Claudio), Lee Dyess (Tusa), Mary E. DeBord (Bob), Dienece Dayton (Robert), Susan Beets (Nelson) and Jody F. Tuiolemotu (Samson); and her sister Tennie Sala. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church Food Pantry.
