She was predeceased by : her husband Nolan James of Benton; her son Michael James of Benton; and her brothers, Ron Yates of Beebe, Dennison Yates, Jr. of Bella Vista and Jay Yates of Quitman.

She is survived by : her son Steve James (Levon) of Benton; her grandchildren, Brad James (Tiffany) of Benton, David James of Benton, Megan Perry (Wes) of Benton and Heather James of Greenbrier; and her siblings, William (Carolyn) of Conway and Janice Estes (Ken) of Magnolia. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
