He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Filer and Hazel Crumby Filer. He is survived by: his wife Gail Holland Filer; his daughter Jenny Bane (Carl); and his stepchildren, Derek Crowson (Lee Anne), Trey Crowson, Brett Crowson and Whitney Cochran. He is also survived by three grandchildren, six step- grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, ten step-great-grandchildren.
