He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Denver Phillips and Janie Phillips; his children, Yvonne Smith (Ulys Kay) of Berryville, Joyce Cameron (Robert) of Springfield, MO and Ronald Gene Phillips (Jacque) of Berryville; his grandchildren, Kevin Smith (Natalie, Ryan Cameron), Sarah Oliver and Ronnel Jeppsen (Matt, Jared Phillips); his great grandchildren, Corey Smith (Kristy, Jeanessa), J. D. Smith, Sean Jeppsen, Jarika, Brooke, Madisyn and Taylor Phillips; his great great grandchild Peyton Smith; his sister Alberta Howerton; his sister-in-law Mae Phillips; his wife Thelma; his son Donald Lee Phillips; his siblings, Margie Webb and Clyde Ray Phillips; his great grandchild Ulys Kay Smith; his son-in-law Kevin Smith; and his grandson Ryan Cameron. He was also cherished by many nieces nephews, loved ones and friends.
