He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Louie Zangerl, Sr. and Ollie Mae Gunn Zangerl; his wife Carol Ann Thompson Surratt; his sisters, Maxine Ann Bell and Norma Jean Watson Vann; and his nephew Mark Bell.
He is survived by: his children, Leslie Carol Lott (Solan) of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Rudolph Louie Zangerl, III of Blytheville; his grandson Austin Lott of Nashville, Tennessee; and his nieces, Janet Black (Perry) and Joyce Jones (Randy).
