He is survived by: his children, Carlos Oakes (Pam), Douglas Oakes (Tonda), Chris Oakes (April) and Shelley South (Mark); his grandchildren, Deva Martinez, Robert Martinez, Rachel Breitweiser, Hannah Phiser, Jedidiah Lamberth, Eric South, Amber Jones, Stephen Oakes, Zach Oakes, Karson Oakes and Ashton Oakes; and his great grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, Everly, Sawyer, Sloan, Jedidiah, Jonah, Hayleigh Lyn and Emma.
