It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Lea Slaven of Bono, Arkansas, who passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernie Cook and Elsie Cook (Craig); her husband Burl "Bus" Slaven; her daughter Rebecca Malone; and her granddaughter Michelle Bryant.

She is survived by: her children, Mike Slaven and Lisa Slaven; and her grandchildren, Shelia DeArmond (Chris), Erica Wentworth (Hank), Michael Swindle, Julian Malone (Amanda) and Courtney Swindle. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
