He is survived by: his mother Lydia Blake-Smiley; his former wife Bettye Jo Powell; his wife Dorothy Payne; his children, Richard Hopson (Marty) of Camden, Janet Martin (Jeffery) of Camden, Charles Hopson of Camden and Keisha McCauley of Camden; his daughter-in-law Loretta Hopson of Texarkana; his uncle Ervin Blake of Rosston, AR; his aunts, Ocie Mae Gulley and Mattie Palms of Dallas, TX; and his siblings-in-law, Bertha McDonald (Frank) of Gibson, OK, Effie Pace (Ralph) of Milwaukee, WI, Loretta Hopson of Rockford, IL, Luella Thompson (Elma) of Camden, AR, Brenda Anderson of Camden, AR, Rose Carter (Gregory) of Camden, AR, Mary Ann Marks of Camden, AR, Hermia Hatchett of Chicago, IL, Carl Payne of Camden, AR, Lewis Marks (Gail) of Camden, AR, Oscar Marks of Camden, AR, Billy Jo Marks (Cynthia) of El Dorado, AR, Shelby Payne and Adolph Payne, Jr.. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
