It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Avant of Camden, Arkansas, born in Hampton, Arkansas, who passed away on December 2, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Avant and Vera Avant; his daughter Betsy Jordan; his parents-in-law, Leonard and Sadie Lindsey; and his son-in-law Clyde O'Dell.
He is survived by: his wife Linnie Avant; his daughter Rhonda Key (Alfred); his grandsons, Jason Key, Jarrod Key (Sherri), Adam O'Dell (Hannah) and Connor O'Dell; and his son-in-law Bill Jordan. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
