He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son David; his brother James Edward Armstrong; his grandparents, George, Annie Armstrong, Ellen and Thomas McRae; his wife Theresa Mills; his daughter Shasta Ellen Armstrong Elliott (Jonanthan) of Little Rock; his brother-in-law Luther Charles; his children, Valerie White of Las Vegas, Naklia Locckhart of Camden, Arkansas and Strattney Anderson; his stepson Vincent Mills of Camden, Arkansas; and his sisters, Mary Hawkins (Luther) of Camden, Kathy Fletcher (Jerry) of Camden, Denise Turner (Charles) of Sherwood, Sandra Larry of Little Rock, Cynthia Sanders (Thomas) and Patricia Armstrong of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
