He was predeceased by : his parents, Abel Edley and Ethel Edley (Noble); and his siblings, Henry Edley, Ralph Edley, John Raymond Edley and Sarah Lou Doyle.

He is survived by : his wife Lou Evelyn Edley (Rutledge) of Charlotte; and his son Calvin Edley (Lori) of Charlotte. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
