He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Edith Sims; his son Nevis Sims; and his parents, H. C. Sims and Ida Throgmartin Sims. He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy McDaniel of Trumann and Cindy Taber of Trumann; his brother Joe Sims of Searcy, AR; and his grandsons, J. R. McDaniel, John McDaniel, Dylan Kelso and Gage Kelso. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
