He was predeceased by : his parents, Harden Hodge and Nettie Eunice Bryant Phillips; his siblings, Wayne Phillips, Marvin Phillips, Kirby Phillips, Paschal Phillips, Sue Noble, Donna Roger Jungles and Sybil Antley; and his stepdaughter Linda Key.

He is survived by : his daughter Genia Faye Marburger; his grandson Bradley Eugene Marburger; his siblings, Hurley Phillips, Sherry Dumas, Linda Jones and Deborah Robbins; and his stepchildren, Rudolph Burt, Cassie McPherson, Laura Burt and Suzette Green. He is also survived by 41 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many many friend.
