He was predeceased by: his parents, Hurshel Newingham and Nina Manis Newingham; his son Tommy Newingham; and his sister Sandy Lancaster. He is survived by: his spouse Debby Leonard; his children, Kristy Gibbs of Earle and Jeff Newingham of Earle; and his siblings, Johnny Newingham of Poplar Bluff and Tammy Smith of Poplar Bluff. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
