She was predeceased by : her parents, Richard Johnson and Mamie Strickland Johnson; her husband Richard Shockley; and her siblings, Celia Joyce McNeely, Jerry Wayne Johnson and Richard Lee Johnson.

She is survived by : her daughters, Keitha Nier of Minden, LA and Janie Maddox (Tommy) of Minden, LA; her grandchildren, Michael Nier, Jake Nier, Angela Nier, Launa Stanford (Sam), Nicole Robinson, Adrianna Maddox, Jacob Maddox (Emily) and Brittney Maddox; and her children, Rowan and Aurora.
