He was predeceased by : his parents, John D Shannon and Della Shannon (Beaty); and his brother Alvin Shannon. He is survived by : his wife Vicki Banks Shannon; his children, Elizabeth Ann Shannon (Nathan Crabtree) of Manhattan, Kansas and Allan Ray Shannon (Jill Phillips); his grandson Lucas Crabtree of Manhattan, Kansas; his brother Tom Shannon (Jean) of Farmington; and his niece Joy Lynne Shannon.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Farmington Senior Center or Beaty Cemetery.
