He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Hatfield and Maxine Liles Hatfield of Fayetteville; his sister Martha Hatfield Carter (Sue); his daughter Donnita Carney McDonnell; and his granddaughter Crystal McDonnell.
He is survived by: his spouse Suzie Stephens; his daughters, Kelley Wilks (Vince Blunn) of Santa Fe, Sonya Stout (Mark Zweig) of Fayetteville and Nancy Workman Ballard; his granddaughters, Sophie Stout and Darcy McConnell; his sibling's children, Terri Carter Waltz (Bob) and Matt Carter (Tanya); and his great grandchild Sylis McConnell.
Donations can be made to the Mount Comfort Presbyterian Church or to the U of A women's Golf "Patty David Memorial Golf Scholarship – For the Love of Golf Scholarship" because both were extremely important to him.
