It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freda F. Carpenter of Glenwood, Arkansas, born in Amity, Arkansas, who passed away on January 17, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Coy Ellis Howell and Emma Elizabeth Kirkpatrick Howell; her husband H. G. "Junior" Carpenter; her siblings, Coy Howell, Jr. and Bonnie Ashley; and her brother-in-law Kenneth Thornton.

She is survived by : her children, Mike (Ann Carpenter), Grady (Tammy Carpenter) and Amber (Ron Courteaux); her grandchildren, Brandon Carpenter (Ella), Nicole Carpenter, Coy Carpenter, Zack Courteaux and Aurora Courteaux; her sister Floy Mae Thornton of Glenwood; her brother-in-law Bobby Ashley of Hartselle, Alabama; and her friend Betty Ashley of Glenwood. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
