She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Burgess and Jewel Burgess (Farrar); her stepmother Mary Burgess; her husband Roy Mizell; and her siblings, Linda Bewley and Dr. James Burgess.
She is survived by: her sons, Randy Mizell (Melinda) of Greenwood and Rusty Mizell of Little Rock; her brother John Paul Walker of Greenwood; and her grandsons, Bill Mizell and Brody Mizell. She is also survived by four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel (137 N Main St, Greenwood, AR 72936). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
