He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Copeland and Gladys Copeland; and his siblings, Faye Rhinehart, Fern Ray, Sue Copeland, Clara Taylor, Bobby, Cecil, Billy and Neal Copeland.

He is survived by : his wife Kathy Lee Copeland of Gurdon; his daughters, Kay Wilson (Danny) of Friendship, Lanna McRae (Rodney) of Mt Gileod, NC, Melissa Donaldson (Shane) of Gurdon and Christie Chitwood (John David) of Gurdon; his brother Junior Copeland of Gurdon; and his grandchildren, Brittany Wilson, Danielle Burk, Dustin Rodgers, Alexis Webb, Caitlynne Chitwood Kagon Morrison, Alyson Stinnett and Jordan Morrison. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
