She was predeceased by: her parents, Benny Ray and Rosa Doris Ploeger Horton; and her brother William Ray "Bill" Horton. She is survived by: her husband Greg Gifford of Hamburg; her adoptive daughter Brooke Harper (Tyler); her daughter Emerson of Benton; and her sisters, Gail Eddings (James) of Nacogdoches and Amelia "Dian" Horton Rodrigues of Nacogdoches. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
