We are sad to announce that on July 8, 2025, at the age of 86, Lou Evelyn Edley (Harrisburg, Arkansas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Lou Evelyn shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Lou Evelyn farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Rutledge and Lou Rutledge (Pridmore); her husband Robert Abel Edley; and her siblings, Cecil Houston Rutledge, Wilbur Rutledge, Leon Rutledge, Rex Rutledge and Irene Gardner.
She is survived by: her son Robert Calvin Edley (Lori); and her sister Nina Stephens of Batesville.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jackson's Newark Funeral Home (305 N Locust Pl, Newark, AR 72562). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Charlotte Cemetery (1900 Block Malcolm Avenue, CHARLOTTE, AR 72112).
