He was predeceased by : his wife Katherine Louise Murphy. He is survived by : his daughter Annette Murphy of Florida; his stepchildren, Erika Elmore of Poteau and Shawn Murphy of Florida; and his siblings, George Murphy of Hartford and Jean Stidham of Arizona.
