He is survived by: his wife Verta Mae Johnson; his children, Oletha Mask York Theotis Jr., Henry Easter, Shelton Johnson, Luther Easter and Ron Sanders; his siblings, Alvern Trimble, Helen Gulley (Eddie), Ruthlene Colins (Cleveland), R. T. Sanders (Emma) and John Sanders (Stephanie); and his brothers-in-law, David and Darryl Webb. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
