Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Betty Jean Akard of Hot Springs, Arkansas, who passed away at the age of 86, on November 22, 2020. She was predeceased by : her parents, Charlie Gurley and Clarsie Gurley (Cox); her sisters, Kathleen, Dorothy, Lois and Margie; and her great grandchild Cadence.
She is survived by : her children, Wentz Akard (Tracy Akard), Kea Hampton (Bobby Hampton) and Lea Ann Rynders (Steve Rynders); her brother Buster Gurley; her grandchildren, Ashley Rodgers, Deuce Rynders, D'Ambra Hawkins, Taylor Gigerich, Matt Hampton, Wentz Akard III, Haley Gonzalez, Andrea Akard and Kelly Huey; and her great grandchildren, Hanna, Brendan, Easton, Mattison, Lilly, Kynli, Wentz IV, Kevin II, Drew, Bentley, Bo, Riley, Rita, Hollis Ann, Stone, Max, Thomas, Bristol, Aybree and Gunner.
Due to the current health pandemic, there will be a private celebration of Betty Akard's life for family only immediately following the burial.
